Tofua Island

The Mutiny on the Bounty took place near Tofua in 1789 so it has a remarkable history. A crewmember John Norton was stoned to death by the natives of Tofua, the first island they tried to land on.

It is wonderful to visit the place where the mutiny took place and the area where Captain Bligh and his few loyal crewman sought refuge.
